WEST POINT, N.Y. – West Point will host the 35th annual National Collegiate Boxing Association national championship tournament April 8-10 here at Eisenhower Hall. The championship bouts for 12 weight class are scheduled for Saturday evening beginning at 7 p.m. Boxers from 35 different colleges, universities and military academies have qualified for this year’s tournament.
Boxers are scheduled to compete in quarterfinal bouts on Thursday from 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. and from 7-10 p.m. that night. Those boxers advancing to the semifinal round will compete again on Friday from 12-3 p.m. and from 4-7 p.m. Admission to all quarterfinal and semifinal bouts is free.
Tickets for the championship round can be purchased in person at the Eisenhower Hall box office at for $10 in advance and for $20 at the door on the evening of the championship. For further information call 845-938-4159.
All guests are reminded that valid photo identification is required for those 16 and older to access the academy grounds and all vehicles are subject to search. Visitors may enter the academy at either Stony Lonesome or Thayer Gates.
