WEST POINT PROFESSOR EARNS NATIONAL AWARD – April 12, 2010

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The American Society of Engineering Education recently selected Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering professor Dr. James L. Klosky, to receive the 2010 National Outstanding Teaching Award.

“This highly-deserved award recognizes Dr. Led Klosky's remarkable achievements and contributions.  He is a great representative of our talented and dedicated faculty, all of whom are committed to providing a world-class education to our cadets,” said Dean of the Academic Board, Brig. Gen. Patrick Finnegan.

The award consists of an engraved medallion, a framed certificate, and complimentary registration to the annual conference.  Dr. Klosky will receive this honor during the awards banquet on June 23, in Louisville, Ky. 

“This award is really a testament to what is possible in the exceptionally supportive, dynamic and creative environment that is Civil and Mechanical Engineering and West Point,” said Klosky.
