WEST POINT, N.Y. –The U.S. Military Academy Board of Visitors will meet Tuesday,May 11, at 10:30 a.m., in the Senate Visitor’s Center Room 201/200 in Washington, D.C., to review and receive updates on the academy’s academic, physical and military programs.

While the meeting is a public venue, RSVP’s are requested for the general public in order to gain access to the meeting location. Those interested in attending, must contact Joy Pasquazi by May 6, at joy.pasquazi@us.army.mil or 845-938-5078.

The Board of Visitors is appointed under the provision of Section 4355 of Title 10, United States Code.  It is the duty of the Board to inquire about the academy’s morale and discipline, curriculum, instructions, physical equipment, fiscal affairs and academic methods. The board consists of presidential appointees and members of Congress.

Presidential appointees are John S. Rainey; Dr. Charles Younger; Karen Hughes; Frederick Malek and newly elected Vice Chairman, Randolph Brock III. The senators are Kay Bailey Hutchison; Jack Reed; Mary Landrieu and Richard M. Burr. Representatives include, Maurice Hinchey; John Hall, John Shimkus, Jerry Lewis and newly elected Chairman, Jim Marshall.
