FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE RELEASE NO. 38-10  
BE A CADET FOR A DAY – June 1, 2010

WEST POINT, N.Y. –Can you meet the challenge of West Point?  The U.S. Military Academy will conduct a Rehearsal Reception Day Friday, June 25, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on the academy grounds.  You can help by volunteering to be a cadet for a day.

Members of the community are invited to assist the Corps of Cadets in preparation of the incoming Class of 2014.  Participants will be given the opportunity to experience the initial transformation process from civilian to the military life of a new cadet.

Volunteers must be 12 and older in good health and not be a candidate for the Class of 2014.  Please report to the Holleder Center, no later than 9:45 a.m.  Dress in seasonal attire and bring one suitcase or duffel bag.  Feel free to bring a snack and bottle of water that can be carried in your bag. 

Transportation will be available to those needing to return to Holleder Center following the event.
