WEST POINT, N.Y. – Colonel Daniel V. Bruno will pass the command of the U.S. Army Garrison, West Point, to Col. Mike Tarsa at a change of command ceremony on Friday, 9 a.m., at the Trophy Point Amphitheater. The public is invited to attend.
Russell B. Hall, director, Northeast Region Installation Management Command, will officiate at the ceremony in which West Point band and color guard will participate. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will take place in Crest hall located in Eisenhower Hall.
Tarsa is a 1987 West Point graduate and most recently served as the Corps Deputy Chief of Staff, then the Chief of Staff of III Corps, Fort Hood, Texas, in 2009. Following this assignment, he pursued a U.S. Army War College Fellowship at the University of Texas.
Bruno plans to retire from the U.S. Army after serving almost 30 years.
