BE A CADET FOR A DAY-VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – June 12, 2009
WEST POINT, N.Y. – Did you ever think about what it would be like to be a West Point cadet? Well, give it a try – be a cadet for a day. The U.S. Military Academy will conduct a rehearsal Reception Day Friday, June 26, from 9:45 a.m. until 1 p.m. on the academy grounds. You can help by volunteering.
Members of the community are invited to assist the Cadet Basic Training cadre hone their leadership skills in preparation for the incoming Class of 2013. Participants will be given the opportunity to experience the initial transformation process from civilian to the military life of a new cadet.

Volunteers must be between the ages of 13-55, able-bodied and not be a candidate for the Class of 2013. Please report to Eisenhower Hall, no later than 9:45 a.m. Dress in seasonal attire and bring one suitcase or duffel bag. Feel free to bring a snack and bottle of water that can be carried in your bag.
Upon completion of the rehearsal, light refreshments will be provided and personalized certificates awarded. Transportation will be available to those needing to return to Eisenhower Hall at the conclusion of the event.
All guests are reminded that valid photo identification is required for those 16 and older to access the academy grounds and all vehicles are subject to search.
