BE A CADET FOR A DAY– June 4, 2008

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Can you meet the challenge of West Point?  The U.S. Military Academy will conduct a Rehearsal Reception Day Friday, June 27, from 9:45 a.m. until 1 p.m. on the academy grounds.  You can help by volunteering to be a cadet for a day.

Members of the community are invited to assist the Corps of Cadets in preparation of the incoming Class of 2012.  Participants will be given the opportunity to experience the initial transformation process from civilian to the military life of a new cadet.

Those interested may sign up by calling (845) 938-2623.

Volunteers must be between the ages of 13 and 55 years old and not be a candidate for the Class of 2012.  Please report to Eisenhower Hall, no later than 9:45 a.m.  Dress in seasonal attire and bring one suitcase or duffel bag.  Feel free to bring a snack and bottle of water that can be carried in your bag. 

Transportation will be available to those needing to return to Eisenhower Hall following the event.
