The Champions of Character program, an initiative of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, was adopted by the Department of Physical Education in 2005 to help promote an environment in which every cadet is committed to the true spirit of competition.

IIS logo  DPE has recently been officially recognized as one of the top 15 sport education teams in America by the International Institute for Sport.  This is a significant achievement and a testament to the concerted efforts of every sport educator, led by Dr. Ralph Pim and his committed team members in the Office of Competitive Sports.
