CPT William North received his commission from the United States Military Academy as a Signal Officer May 26th, 2006 and was assigned to Fort Hood, Texas. There he served as a Platoon Leader and Executive Officer in D Company, 57th Signal Battalion, 3rd Signal Brigade from April 2007 to November 2008. His next assignment was to stand up the 62nd Signal Battalion, 11th Signal Brigade at Fort Hood and was the acting commander through October 2009. After activation, he commanded Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 62nd Signal Battalion through October 2010. CPT North is currently serving as an Instructor in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department at the United States Military Academy.
CPT North's military education includes the Basic Officer Leaders Course, Signal Officer Basic Course, Signal Captains Career Course (Distinguished Honor Graduate), and the US Army Airborne School.
