Research Reports:

The Network Science Center's Research Reports series presents works in progress by researchers affiliated with the Center.
  • Ethiopia Trip Report This paper details the progress being made on two ongoing Network Science Center projects that are assisting in the analysis and understanding of economic development in frontier markets.
  • Ghana Trip Report This paper investigates the Small and Medium Enterprise landscape of Accra, Ghana and the prospects and barriers to economic development.
  • Flowing Valued Information and Cyber-Physical Situational Awareness This third Research Report of the Center's Flowing Valued Information project asserts that selective sharing of protected information is fundamental to achieving cyber-physical situation awareness.
  • Secure Computer Systems: Extensions to the Bell-La Padula Model In this Research Report, Network Science Center researchers involved in the Center's Flowing Valued Information project provide a summary of initial results of a project investigating solutions to problems in flowing valued information among coalition partners.
  • Tribal and Locality Dynamics in Afghanistan: A view from the National Military Academy of Afghanistan This second Research Report of the Center's Flowing Valued Information project provides a summary of tribal and locality dynamics observed by a researcher while in Afghanistan and also provides a more detailed scenario in which these dynamics can play a significant role in the outcomes of tactical-level operations.
