National Conference on Ethics in America
On 5-6 April, 2016, more than 120 ROTC and Civilian Students joined 40 Cadet leaders at West Point for the 31st West Point Class of 1970 National Conference on Ethics in America (NCEA). This year's theme was "the Ethics of Public Discourse" and included guest speakers, small group discussion, a leader challenge exercise and student briefings.
The intent of this conference was to bring cadets and college/university students together for a forum centered on a topic that is applicable in society, the military, and on college campuses. Speakers included: Scott Smiley, Sage Steele, Jim Farrell, and Jenna Wolfe. Cadets and students reflected on each of the speaker's comments, and tackled some very controversial and polarizing topics, while demonstrating mature, civil and respectful discussion.
