West Point Prep Closes Out Season with a Tie
The 2009 soccer season started off on a rough note. The Army Prep soccer team had trouble scoring and keeping the ball out of their goal. The Army team lost the first few games without scoring a point. However, as the season went on, they were able to find the net several times, but still had trouble keeping the other team from scoring. Despite their difficult beginning, they ended the season on a high note. They beat Bergen Community College in their second to last game of the season. In their last game, the Army team tied Valley Forge, a team that had beaten them previously in the season. Kevin Beerman remained the top goal scorer throughout the entire season, often getting multiple goals each game. The team is now preparing for the upcoming indoor season that starts in December.
