The
USMAPS Soccer team traveled to Brookdale Community
College in Lincroft NJ. Brookdale CC has a long
history of shutting out the USMAPS team and
dominating soccer play, but this weekend was a big
confidence boosting performance for USMAPS.
The
game ended in a 0-1 loss but we played Brookdale to
double overtime. They scored their goal in the last
50 seconds of play. Everyone on the team played with
exceptional heart and desire and was praised by the
referees and by the head coach of Brookdale. He
personally went to every USMAPS player and thanked
them for the hardest game they have played thus far.
Brookdale's soccer team is ranked nationally, and
before playing us they were 7-0-0. They have won
every game with an average of 4 goals each game.
A key
player for USMAPS was the goalkeeper CC Christopher
Britt. He had an amazing game with 28 saves and had
49 shots against him. CC Tony Black was also had an
exceptional game leading our defense.
