COL Joshua Higgins, 29th Commandant

COL Josh Higgins is a native of Johnstown, Pennsylvania and was commissioned a second lieutenant in Aviation
Branch in June 1995. COL Higgins holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Management from the United States Military Academy at West Point, a Master of Science in Continuing and Adult Education from Kansas State University, and a Master of Science in National Security Strategy from the National War College.

 CSM Gene Q. Dydasco, Command Sergeant Major

Command Sergeant Major Gene Q. Dydasco entered the Unites States Army on 27 November, 1990 under the delayed entry program as an Infantryman from Agana, Guam. He attended Basic and Advance Individual Training on 26 February 1991 with the 3rd Battalion, 32nd Infantry, Fort Benning Georgia.

MAJ Jeremiah Ellis, Deputy Commandant

MAJ Ellis graduated from the University of New Hampshire and commissioned in the Infantry in 2002. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Experiential Education. MAJ Ellis deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Consolidation II & III and Operation New Dawn, Phases III & IV. Following his recovery from injuries sustained in combat, MAJ Ellis was selected for Continuation on Active Duty and assignment to the United States Military Academy Preparatory School.

Mrs. Melanie Wong Dodge, Academic Dean

Mrs. Wong Dodge served an assistant professor at USMA. She joined the Department of Behavioral Sciences as an instructor in 2007. She taught human resources for the management major and the Academy's introductory leader development course, Psychology for Leaders.

LTC(R) Dr. David Borowicz, Athletic Director

    LTC(R) Dr. Dave Borowicz has served as an athletic intern with the baseball program following his graduation from the Academy during the spring of 1992 and assisting the Black Knights during the 2003 and 2004 campaigns.

After leaving West Point following the 2004 baseball season, LTC(R) Dr. Borowicz spent a year at Fort Leavenworth, Kan. From there, he was assigned to the 2nd Brigade, 10th Mountain Division where he served as the Brigade Engineer (2005-2006) and the Battalion Executive Officer of 2nd Brigade Special Troops Battalion (2006-2007). While there, ​LTC(R) Dr. Borowicz spent 15 months serving in Iraq as part of the surge for Operation Iraqi Freedom. His unit was awarded the Meritorious Unit Citation for their performance while deployed and was influential in the Sunni-Awakening south of Baghdad.​

 CPT Christopher Mattos, Battalion Tactical Officer

CPT Christopher J. Mattos is from East Northport, NY and commissioned as an Infantry Officer from the United States Military Academy in 2009 with a Bachelors in Science in Operations Research.  CPT Mattos recently graduated the Eisenhower Leader Development Program at Teacher’s College, Columbia University, earning his masters of arts in Social-Organizational Psychology.
