What is the West Point Center for Faculty Development?
The purpose of the Mathematics Center for Faculty Development at the United States Military Academy is to provide opportunities for professional growth of its faculty across a broad spectrum in order to prepare them to better educate, train, and inspire Cadets as well as prepare themselves for opportunities and make a positive impact on external civilian and military organizations.
The mission of the Mathematics Center for Faculty Development at the United States Military Academy is to:
- Aid in the professional broadening of D/Math faculty members
- Prepare faculty to be better teachers inside the classroom
- Execute forums and coordinate opportunities for current faculty to present research interests
- Provide administrative support to all lines of effort and specified tasks
