National Society of Black Engineers

MISSION

NSBE's mission is to increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers and science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) professionals, who excel academically and positively impact the community.

Why NSBE at West Point?

Our cadet club strives to raise the interest of the West Point community in various aspects of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) and serves as a resource for cadets from historically underrepresented groups. As an active chapter since 1997 with a strong membership of over 90 cadets, our chapter’s mission is to increase the numbers of cadets from historically underrepresented groups who excel academically, impact the community and are strong leaders of character. Our chapter has three main initiatives: Excel Scholars & Tutoring Program, Engineering Expo Community Outreach, and Forum for Professional and Social Networking.
