Portuguese Forum

Portuguese Language Club

The Mission

The USMA Portuguese Language Forum is dedicated to immersing and educating cadets on Portuguese culture and language. The club provides diversified meetings to learn and experience Portuguese culture, travel to unique Portuguese-influenced areas within a reasonable distance from West Point, and new opportunities to create lasting friendships with other cadets. Typical club travel trips for a semester involve a day trip to an all-you-can-eat Brazilian Steakhouse and an overnight to a Portuguese-influenced area to experience new activities and try Portuguese foods. Club members may also participate in fundraising events for the club to finance our trips outside of West Point and strengthen the club bond. The Portuguese Forum encourages all cadets with any interest in Portuguese studies, food, and culture to reach out and attend future club events. Cadets do not need to know the Portuguese language to join.
