Diane McDonald

Diane (pronounced Dee-Ann) was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Upon graduation from Chatham College, she taught elementary school and coached high school sports where her passion was working with children.

Soon after Bob joined P&G, they had the opportunity to live abroad—in Canada, the Philippines, Japan, and Brussels. At each location Diane played a leadership role in the P&G community, in her children’s schools and in their activities. She was a Girl and Boy Scout leader, home room mother, PTA officer, Sunday school teacher, American Women’s Club member and P&G spouse support group leader, among other roles.

Diane led Procter & Gamble Transferees Inc., PGITI, a non-profit P&G support group for spouses, women, and men, from 2009 to 2013. PGITI has 750 international families living in Cincinnati, P&G’s headquarters city, and chapters throughout the world. It cares for families as they move outside their home countries by providing support and interest groups, moving advice and assistance, legal advice, cultural and educational activities, community service opportunities, social activities, and more. Prior to leading PGITI globally, Diane developed PGITI-like chapters in the countries in which she lived over 15 years abroad and then integrated those chapters when Global Chair. Upon her retirement, Diane was appointed Chair Emerita of PGITI.

Diane and Bob have been married for 42 years, have two children who are married, and five grandchildren.
