Abhilash Mathew supervises the chemical engineering lab at Department of Chemistry and Life Science(CLS). While pursing his B.E in Chemical Engineering from Stony Brook University, Abhilash’s research topics included simulation of Brownian particles, diesel fuel purification using sonolysis and creating a next generation resin used in solvent dye sublimation manufacturing for a local company on Long Island. While in industry, Abhilash worked in Quality Analysis and Control for over 50 ink products. He was deeply engaged in product manufacturing and development. He also worked on introducing 3D printing ink by doing a market analysis and working on a protype for industrial scale-up. Additionally, he worked on Search Engine Optimization and introduction of E-Commerce for the company. 

After his time in industry, Abhilash worked in USMA as a government contractor in the capacity of Assistant Program Manager overseeing the contract of 14 employees stationed at West Point. 

In his current role at West Point, Abhilash is COR certified, and is also the property book officer for CLS responsible for $5 million of scientific equipment. Abhilash oversees labs for all the Chemical Engineering Firsties.
