LTC Andy Bellocchio , Ph.D., P.E. Director, Center for Innovation and Engineering Academy Professor andrew.bellocchio@westpoint.edu Biography Lieutenant Colonel Andy Bellocchio is an Associate Professor and Academy Professor of Mechanical Engineering in the Department of Civil & Mechanical Engineering, United States Military Academy. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from West Point (1997). He earned a Master of Science (2005) and a Ph.D. (2018) in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is an Aviator in the United States Army where he has flown both rotorcraft and fixed-wing aircraft. Lieutenant Colonel Bellocchio currently serves as the Director of the Center for Innovation and Engineering. He has previously taught thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, ballistics, design, and aeronautics classes. LTC Bellocchio is a member of the Technical Committee on Health usage Monitoring Systems for the Vertical Flight Society. He is actively involved in research for Future Vertical Lift.
