The goal of APS CUWiP is to help undergraduate women continue in physics by providing them with the opportunity to experience a professional conference, information about graduate school, and professions in physics and to gain access to other women in physics of all ages with whom they can share experiences, advice and ideas. The national and local organizing committees of APS CUWiP strive to create a welcoming environment for all, including undergraduate women. COVID Information: APS will no longer be verifying vaccination status or test results; rather, they expect that all CUWiP attendees will obtain a negative COVID-19 test before the meeting and monitor their personal health during the event. If an attendee does not feel well for any reason or tests positive for COVID-19, it is their responsibility to stay away from all in-person proceedings and inform the conference organizers. United States Military Academy West Point could not be more excited to host the APS CUWiP 2024 at the United States Military Academy! West Point first offered admission to women in 1976, with the first graduating class in 1980. Since that time West Point has made great strides to include and highlight women in all aspects of academy life. Be Bold, Be Brave, Be Physics West Point's theme for the conference this year is Be Bold, Be Brave, Be Physics. The conference will center on the ideas of physics, inclusion, standing out and standing up. APS Conferences These conferences are supported in part by the National Science Foundation (PHY-1346627, PHY-1622510 & PHY-2012033) and by the Department of Energy Office of Science (DE-SC0011076). Further details are available on the APS Conference Website. CUWiP Distribution CUWiP has become incredibly popular. In order to maximize the number of CUWiP participants we can accommodate, we will allocate participants to sites based on travel logistics and site capacity. We will try to follow the distributions outlined below but may need to make adjustments. Please do not purchase travel for or plan to be at a specific site until you receive an email confirming you have been accepted to that specific CUWiP site.
