MissionTo direct, oversee, and coordinate all activities necessary to obtain and manage logistics services, equipment, and other resources, people, and funding to accomplish the USMA mission.

 

The G4’s primary functions are:

Establish Logistics Policies & Programs for USMA. Establishes policies and programs that adhere to Army requirements in the areas of Supply, Maintenance, Transportation, Contracting, Cemetery Operations and Cadet/Soldier Services (e.g., Cadet Barbershop); to ensure auditability by utilizing Army automated systems.

Synchronize and Integrate Logistics and Operational Support. Serves as the principal staff office for sustainment plans and operational requirements for funding, staffing, and equipment in the logistics fields; coordinates with HQDA DCS G-4, Army Materiel Command, Army Sustainment Command, and Logistics Readiness Center – West Point on the Installation Logistics Base Line Services; provides contract oversight, as required.  

Accountability of Government Property. Serves as the USMA Command Supply Discipline Program Coordinator and monitors and ensures compliance with acquisition of equipment and property accountability by conducting periodic inspections.

Maintenance of Government Property: Serves as the USMA Command Maintenance Discipline Program Coordinator, monitoring and ensuring compliance with maintenance of assigned equipment by conducting periodic inspections.

Transportation Management: Oversees GSA TMP Fleet that supports all USMA activities and events. Also oversees USMA Army Owned vehicle fleet consisting of Tactical and Non-Tactical Vehicles.

Manage Cemetery Program. Manages the West Point Military Cemetery with the Office of Army Cemeteries (OAC) by planning and executing funerals. Ensures gravesite accountability IAW OAC Standards for Gravesite Accountability and implements the strategic plan for the cemetery's future to include Cemetery Expansion Design.

Force Management. Serves as the USMA principal staff proponent for modernization and life-cycle replacement of equipment on the USMA TDA and any equipment directly supporting the USMA mission.

Manage Cadet Barbershop. Oversees the Cadet Barbershop in providing hair cutting and styling services, ensuring that hair grooming standards are adhered to, and maintaining uniformity within the Corps of Cadets and Brigade Tactical Department personnel.
