Biography
LTC Andrew Reed commissioned from the United States Military Academy as an Ordnance officer in 2004. As an Ordnance officer, he served as a Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, and Company Commander in the 94th Brigade Support Battalion, 4th BCT, 10th Mountain Division, at Ft. Polk, LA, and also as the Assistant S3 in Baghdad, Iraq. He then became a Network Systems Engineer (FA26A) and served in the Information Systems Engineering Command at Ft. Huachuca, AZ. Afterwards, he taught in the EECS Department at West Point from 2014 to 2017. Following his first tour at West Point, he then deployed with the Headquarters of 3rd Infantry Division to Bagram, Afghanistan, where he served as the Future Operations Officer for the J6, United States Forces-Afghanistan. Upon returning from Afghanistan, he served as the Division Network Engineer in the 3ID G6.
