Capt Emily Madison currently serves as an Instructor for the Department of Geography and Environmental Engineering at the United States Military Academy (USMA), New York. She teaches Physical Geography and Meteorology courses. Capt Madison commissioned through Officer Training School in January of 2016 with her first assignment at the 28th Operational Weather Squadron where she led a team providing weather support to joint units in the Middle East. She then served as the Chief of Operational Systems and later as a Launch Weather Officer at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. During this time, she supported the NASA Commercial Crew Program and Artemis Program developing tactics, techniques, and procedures for weather data collection on the capsule recovery ship as well as launch weather support. Prior to her current assignment, she served as the Flight Commander for US Forces Korea and 2nd Infantry Division staff weather operations at the 607th Combat Weather Squadron.
