Biography


CPT(P) Ermin Mujezinovic was born in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He immigrated to the United States in 2001 as a war refugee. Ermin earned a Master of Arts Degree in Russian, Eurasian, and East European Studies from Columbia University’s Harriman Institute and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science with a minor in Spanish from the Virginia Military Institute (VMI). Ermin commissioned as an Infantry officer and served at Fort Hood, Texas, and Korea as a Platoon Leader, Company Executive Officer, Battalion Adjutant Officer, and Assistant Operations Officer. In 2018, CPT(P) Mujezinovic became a Civil Affairs Officer, deployed to Germany, and served as a desk officer for eight countries in the Balkans. In 2020 during the COVID pandemic, CPT(P) Mujezinovic deployed to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia as a Civil Affairs Team Leader.

Ermin is a former NCAA DI Cross Country and Track athlete at VMI and is currently training to run Chicago and New York City Marathons.
