Biography


CPT Sergio Salazar is from Fajardo, Puerto Rico and graduated from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico in 2009 with a B.S. in Criminal Justice. He commissioned as an Ordnance officer and served as Maintenance Control Officer, Platoon Leader and Executive Officer in the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He was later assigned to the 3rd Infantry Division in Fort Stewart, Georgia where he deployed to the European Theater in Support of Operation Atlantic Resolve while serving as Deputy Support Operations Officer, and Company Commander for a Forward Support Company. Consequently, he was assigned to the 8th Theater Sustainment Command as a Plans Officer where he trained alongside Mongolian and Thai Army forces during multiple operations in the Indo-Pacific Theater. In May 2021, he completed his Master of Arts in Linguistics at Florida International University in Miami, Florida. CPT Salazar is now an Instructor of Spanish and lives in Fishkill, New York with his wife Cynthia.
