Biography


MAJ John Walker graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2013 with dual degrees of Chinese and International Area Studies. He commissioned as a Transportation officer and was assigned to the 517th MCT, 25th Transportation Battalion in Daegu, Korea. In 2014, he PCSd to Fort Riley, Kansas to become the Platoon Leader of the 2-2 HET Platoon in the 1st Sustainment Brigade. In 2016, he became the Supply and Services Officer in the 541st CSSB SPO shop. After completion of this assignment, CPT Walker attended the Logistics Captains Career Course at FT Lee, Virginia. John then proceeded to Kaiserslautern, Germany where he was assigned to the 39th Transportation BN where he served as a Battalion S4, MCT Detachment Commander, and Brigade S3 Liaison to the 21st TSC. In 2020, John began graduate school at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, earning an MA in History 2022. John currently serves as an instructor in the International History division of the Department of History. He is married to Margret, and they have four beautiful daughters: Vivian, Johanna, Heidi, and Esther.
