Biography
Major Woods was born and raised in Colorado Springs, CO before attending Claremont McKenna College from 2009-2013. After graduating with a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Government and commissioning as a second lieutenant in the armor branch, he received orders to 3rd Squadron, 4th Cavalry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division at Schofield Barracks, HI. MAJ Woods served with 3-4 CAV from 2014-2017 before attending the Maneuver Captain’s Career Course (MCCC) at Fort Benning, known as Fort Moore from 2023, in 2018. After MCCC, MAJ Woods served in a variety of positions with the 6th Squadron, 8th Cavalry Regiment at Fort Stewart, GA culminating with commands in Charlie Troop and HHT. He attended Northwestern University from 2022-2024, graduating with a Master of Arts in History specializing in Modern Austria and Germany. MAJ Woods currently serves as an instructor with the International Division.
