MAJ James MacGibbon is an Engineer Officer and Instructor in the Department of Systems Engineering. He holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Systems Engineering from the United States Military Academy, a Master's of Science in Engineering Management from Missouri S&T, and a Master's in Business Administration from the Yale School of Management. MAJ MacGibbon is a Professional Engineer (Industrial Engineering) and a Project Management Professional. His research interests include Management Science, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, and Human Capital Strategy. MAJ MacGibbon commissioned as an Engineer, detailed Infantry officer in 2012. He served as a Platoon Leader and Executive Officer in COLDSTEEL Company, 1-27 IN, 2nd Stryker BCT, 25th ID in Schofield Barracks, HI. MAJ MacGibbon completed the Engineer Career Course and Joint Dive Officer course at the Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center in Panama City Beach, FL prior to taking command of the 569th Engineer Dive Detachment in November 2017. MAJ MacGibbon is a graduate of Ranger School, Airborne School, and the Marine Engineer Dive Officer Course. MAJ MacGibbon has deployed to Kuwait, Iraq, and UAE in support of Operation Spartan Shield.
