
Major Joseph Speight graduated from the United States Military Academy in 2013 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. He commissioned into the Engineer Regiment and was assigned to the 4-25 IBCT (ABN) at Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson, AK where he served within the 425th BSTB (ABN) and 6th BEB (ABN) as a Platoon Leader and Executive Officer. After attending the Engineer Captains Career Course, he was assigned to the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) at Fort Johnson, LA, as an Observer, Coach, Trainer within Operations Group. He then commanded Headquarters and Headquarters Company (HHC) 1-509th PIR and HHC Operations Group at JRTC. MAJ Speight holds a M.S. in Geological Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology and a M.S in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Stanford University.
