MAJ Kyle Carberry is an instructor in the Department of Physics and Nuclear Engineering. He graduated from the United States Military Academy in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in nuclear engineering. He commissioned as an Engineer Officer and served as a Platoon Leader and Company Executive Officer in the Brigade Engineer Battalion, 2d Cavalry Regiment in Vilseck Germany. Additionally, he deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom 13-14 with that organization. 

After completing the Engineers Captain Career Course in 2016, MAJ Carberry earned a Master of Science in engineering management from Missouri University of Science and Technology before transitioning to Fort Hood, TX. While there, MAJ Carberry was assigned to the 36th Engineer Brigade where he served in various staff positions at the Brigade and Battalion level before ultimately taking command of the 68th Engineer Construction Company.

Following command, MAJ Carberry earned a Master of Science in nuclear engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2022. His research involved modeling and simulation of molten salt reactors with an emphasis in shielding assessments. He is currently a licensed nuclear engineer (PE) in the state of Missouri.
