Today, environmental engineers still do all that while leading interdisciplinary teams who are crafting solutions to the planet's greatest challenges, which stem from producing energy and food for our ever-increasing world population. This major prepares cadets to identify and address infrastructure needs and environmental policy shortfalls at home and overseas. Majors will be on track for licensure as a professional engineer (PE). Majors may also earn an Army Additional Skill Identifier (N4 or W4) as an environmental engineer upon commissioning. The environmental engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET. Environmental engineering majors have a Lab requirement component.
