CPT Mary Swan is a management instructor in the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Leadership (BS&L). She is originally from Arlington, VA and graduated from the United States Military Academy in 2014. Upon commissioning as a quartermaster officer, Mary was assigned to Schofield Barracks, HI with the 524th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion in the 25th Infantry Division Sustainment Brigade. She served as a Platoon leader in 540th Quartermaster Company and as the Battalion Plans Officer. Mary then moved to the 25th Special Troops Battalion in the 25th DSB and served as the Battalion S4 and then as the Headquarters Company Executive Officer.
After completing the Logistics Captain's Career Course, Mary was assigned to Fort Carson, CO with 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team in the 4th Infantry Division. She commanded Echo Forward Support Company in the 299th Brigade Engineer Battalion. Upon successful completion of command, CPT Swan served as the Brigade Assistant S4 for 1SBCT. Following this assignment, Mary earned her Master of Business Administration from Darden Business School at the University of Virginia.
CPT Swan's military training and education include Logistics Captain's Career Course, Quartermaster Basic Officer Leader Course, Unit Movement Officer Course, Master Resilience Training, and a Master of Business Administration. Her awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, and the Army Achievement Medal.
Mary enjoys being able to hike with her Chocolate Lab, Crosby.
