Biography


MAJ Ivan D. Bermudez serves as an instructor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at West Point. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Arizona State University (2008) and an M.S. in Applied Mathematics from the Naval Postgraduate School (2018). MAJ Bermudez is a returning faculty member to USMA and has been a course director for the Advanced Core Mathematics Program (MA153 & MA255) as well as MA381. His recent assignments include Battalion XO for the 39th Transportation Battalion (MC), 16th Sustainment Brigade (SB) in Germany, the 16th SB S4, and the 16th SB Support Operations (SPO) Mobility Officer. He completed a combat deployment to Afghanistan in 2010 and served as the Rear Detachment Commander for the 173rd BSB in Germany and the HHC Commander for the 47th BSB in Fort Bliss, Texas.
