Biography


MAJ Kate Rutherford is an MA103 instructor. Her previous Psychological Operations (PSYOP) assignments include Detachment Commander and Aide to the DCG of 1st SFC (A). Before switching to PSYOP, MAJ Rutherford was an Engineer Officer. As an Engineer, she served as a platoon leader, company executive officer, and Aide to the 1st Armored Division DCG-S. She received her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from USMA in 2014 and her M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington in 2024. Her degree concentration was in fluids and energy, with research focusing on cardiovascular fluid mechanics and classification of medical images.
