LTC(Ret) Shaw Yoshitani is the Personnel Officer (S1) for the Department and teaches MA206. As an Engineer officer, he served in the 82nd Airborne Division at Ft Liberty, 2nd Infantry Division in the Republic of Korea, and the 555th Engineer Group at Ft Lewis. As an FA49 analyst, Shaw led the analytic effort for the Chief of Staff of the Army's wargame while with TRAC-Leavenworth. He was awarded the Ranger tab, Sapper tab, Master Parachutist badge, and Air Assault badge. He received his BS in Mathematics from USMA, MS in Statistics from North Carolina State University, and MBA from Cornell University. Interestingly, despite not being an AG officer or trained in Human Resources, Shaw has been a Personnel Officer at Ft Lewis, Ft Leavenworth, and West Point for over 14 years.
