BTD Sergeant Major

CSM Heim is a native from Largo Florida and is a prior service Marine. In 1999, he enlisted in the US Army as an Infantryman. CSM Heim attended basic training at Parris Island South Carolina and advanced individual training at Camp Lejeune North Carolina for training as an Infantryman. 

CSM Heim duty positions include Command Sergeant Major for the Army Forces Battalion (JTF-B, Honduras), Command Sergeant Major 4-31 Infantry Battalion, 2BDE (10th MTN DIV), Operations Sergeant Major, 1BDE (10th MTN DIV), Operations Sergeant Major for HHC 1-32 Infantry Battalion, S-3 Operations Sergeant (ACRC) 3-363rd Training Support Battalion, First Sergeant HHC 2-325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, First Sergeant B Co 2-325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, Platoon Sergeant C Co 1-325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, Platoon Sergeant A Co 2-325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, Squad Leader and Team Leader, A Co 2-325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, Riflemen A Co 1-14 Infantry Regiment (25th Infantry Division), Riflemen for the Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon. 

CSM Heim assignments include Sato Cano AB, Honduras, Fort Drum NY, Sergeant Major Academy El Paso TX, Los Alamitos (Joint Force Training Base) CA, Fort Bragg North Carolina, Schofield Barracks Hawaii, Marine Barracks Washington D.C. He has served five combat deployments to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Operation New Dawn (OND), and two tours to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom/ Operation Freedom Sentinel (OEF/OFS). He also has participated in Humanitarian Assistance Mission to Operations Unified Response (OUR) in Haiti. 

CSM Heim is a graduate of the United States Army Sergeant’s Major Academy Class 67, the Senior Enlisted Joint Professional Military Education Course, Advanced Noncommissioned Officers Course, the Basic Noncommissioned Course, Primary Leadership Development Course, Master Resilience Trainer Course, Airborne Course, Jumpmaster Course, Air Assault Course, Military Advisor Training Academy (MATA), Air Movement Operations Hazmat Course, Unit Movement Officer Course, Technical Surveillance Course, Joint Weapons Intelligence Course, NBC Defense Course, Airlift Load Planners Course, Emergency Medical Technician Basic Course, Combative Level One.
