Cycling The Army Cycling Team is a competitive team committed to the values of excellence, toughness, and development. Team members train and compete throughout the year and never take an off season. Many come from a background with no cycling experience and compete at the national level. The Army Cycling Team competes in diverse race types throughout the year in road, mountain, and cyclocross disciplines up and down the east coast. The team competes in twenty races every year and is highly competitive in all disciplines. Consistent and specific training plans enforced by power, cadence, and heart rate metrics guided by performance measures like FTP, THR, TSS, IF, and kJ transform novice athletes into competitive racers. There is no experience required to join the team or be competitive. Many of our athletes have backgrounds in cross country and track running, as well as wrestling, swimming, and soccer.
