Dr. Omar Simpson Instructor Student Success Course Director Center for Enhanced Performance omar.simpson [at] westpoint.edu About Dr. Omar Simpson is the Student Success Course Director in the Center for Enhanced Performance (CEP). In this role, he leads the design of the course curriculum and classroom instruction working closely with Plebe Core Course Directors and CEP faculty. Previously, he has served on the faculty and administration at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Johns Hopkins University. He holds multiple degrees including a Ph.D. in Education with a concentration in Culture, Curriculum, and Change from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Simpson specializes in a field that asks educators to rethink and reconceptualize the educational experience. Dr. Simpson has been recognized for his many efforts in the community specifically with youth mentoring and providing academic opportunities for high school students.
