Also known as "R-Day," this is the day cadet candidates report to West Point. Candidates report early in the day to begin their inprocessing for their 47-month experience. Parents and family members are invited to explore certain areas of West Point, visit the Parent Welcome and Information area in Eisenhower Hall, check out Army equipment and vehicles, hear remarks from leadership, and view the Oath Ceremony at the end of the day.

TimeClass of 2028 R-Day Schedule - July 1, 2024
5:30 a.m. - 8 p.m.Family/candidate shuttles from Foley Athletic Center to Eisenhower Hall (Ike Hall) begin at 5:30 a.m. Shuttles will be available to other locations around West Point throughout the day. Please us the shuttles!
5:45 a.m. 4 p.m.Eisenhower Hall Parent Welcome Center, 4th level, open once cadet candidates begin in processing. Information and sales - DCA Academy Store, Gift Works, DUSA, WPAOG, Fanatics gift shops, Morale, Welfare & Recreation, USAA, The Hotel Thayer, Parent Clubs, Theatre Arts, DCA Clubs & Publications and Cadet Hostess, Vladimir Arts, Army Athletics tickets and A Club. Send a Note- the Class of '63 Lounge (3rd level) is a designated space to write a note to your cadet.
6 a.m. - 10 p.m.Complimentary continental breakfast- sponsored by West Point Association of Graduations & Class of 78', in Ike's Riverside Cafe, 2nd level.
8 a.m. - 5 p.m.West Point Spouses Gift Shop open; just north of the cemetery. West Point Association of Graduates Gift Shop open Herbert Alumni Center.
8 a.m. - 4 p.m.Circle in the Spiral Exhibit - The 2023-24 Circle in the Spiral literary magazine, designed by the DCA Publications Office, showcases the photography and artwork of over 60 cadets on the walls of Eisenhower Hall's 5th Floor Class of 1929 Art Gallery. The exhibit is open to the visitors during business hours.
8-10 a.m. & 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.Meet our U.S. Military Academy Historian at Trophy Point. Ms. Jennifer Voigtschild, will be available to share history, answer questions and talk about the Trophy Point Character Benches.
9 a.m. - 1 p.m.Hudson Boat Rides - 30 min. (Boat rides depart on the half hour, board as soon as passengers disembark. Last boat departs at 1 p.m.) Van service is available from Buffalo Soldier Field.
9 a.m.Carilon at Cadet Chapel - listen for the bells - 30 min.
9 a.m.- 6 p.m.West Point Gift Shop - Fanatics, open, Visitors Center.
9 a.m. - 4 p.m.Cadet Chapel, Catholic Chapel & Jewish Chapel open. Self-tour of West Point Cemetery & Old Cadet Chapel.
10 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.Military equipment display - parking lot near Trophy Point.
11:30 a.m.Most Holy Trinity Chapel Mass with light lunch to follow.
1:30 p.m.Organ Recital - Cadet Chapel
3:30 p.m.Superintendent's Welcome in Eisenhower Hall Theatre. Immediately following remarks, please move to The Plain for the Oath Ceremony. Bus pickup is on Level 1.
6:30 p.m.Oath Ceremony on The Plain - Please be seated by 6:15 p.m.
Post CeremonyBuses depart Clinton Lot area for the parking lots.
