The West Point Simulation Center serves as the liaison to the Army Modeling and Simulations Office (AMSO) and is led by a Functional Area 57 (FA57) Officer. The Center is tasked with the analysis, design, development, and implementation of modeling and simulation technology in support of the United States Corps of Cadets's mission.
The West Point Simulation Center maintains a specific focus on applying modeling and simulation technology, as well as the implementation of new hardware and software technologies, to enhance cadet education and training, creating authentic learning environments that enable instructors to offer cadets a more robust learning environment, better preparing them for the challenges they will face as officers in the Army.
LTC Cory Faison is a Functional Area 57 Officer and Director of the West Point Simulation Center (WPSC). Having served as an exercise planner for the Global Simulation Capability out of Ft. Leavenworth, KS and capability developer, TOP OPFOR in the National Simulation Center (NSC) he has led the WPSC to its highest level of success and continues to progress USMA as one of the most advanced locations for the use of modeling and simulations technology.
