On behalf of Colonel Scott Halstead, Director of the Simon Center for the Professional Military Ethic (SCPME), I would like to invite you to apply to join our team. If you believe you would enjoy the challenge of educating, training, and inspiring the Corps of Cadets so that each graduate is a commissioned leader of character committed to the values of Duty, Honor, Country and prepared for a career of professional excellence and service to the Nation as an officer in the United States Army, then please use reach out to our personnel officer and initiate an application.  


Currently, SCPME is seeking eligible Captains to attend an ACS funded Masters Program starting in the summer of 2020 or, if eligible, to come as direct hires in summer 2020 to fill the role of an MX400 instructor.

• All candidates desiring to compete for graduate school slots starting in the summer of 2020 must have complete packets submitted directly to the SCPME Hiring Committee or uploaded into W.E.S.T. NLT 01 December 2018
• For those seeking Direct Hire positions (who already have an eligible Master’s Degree), we will hold a separate board in August 2019.

Officer Positions in SCPME:

• Most officers in SCPME have a primary duty as an MX400: Officership Instructor.
• The Education Officer and Special Assistant to the Commandant for Respect also teach MX400, with a reduced course load. 
• The Special Assistant to the Commandant for Honor and the Executive Officer are full time positions typically filled by an officer selected during  their 2nd or 3rd year at SCPME.
