LTC Shari S. Bowen was commissioned as a QM Officer from Officer Candidate School in 2005. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Maryland Global Campus, a Master of Education from American Intercontinental University, a Master of Arts in Organizational Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Doctor of Management in Organizational Leadership from the University of Phoenix. 

LTC Bowen has served in various positions, beginning as a platoon leader and company commander in the 260th QM BN, Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia. Next, she served as the petroleum supply officer for the 3d Expeditionary Sustainment Command deploying to Iraq and Haiti. Following the QM career course, she commanded in 173 BSB in Bamberg, Germany, deploying to Afghanistan. She served in the Office of the QM General as the QM proponent officer and deputy director for the Petroleum and Water Department 23d BDE, Ft Lee, Virginia. After completing Command and General staff College, she served at the Center for Army Lessons Learned, followed by an assignment as the Division G4 sustainment officer for 25ID, the Division Field Artillery S4, and the Support Operations Officer for 524 CSSB in Schofield Barracks, HI. 

LTC Bowen now serves in the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Leadership. 

She is a recipient of several military awards, including the Bronze Star, Combat Action Badge, Humanitarian Commendation Medal, and the Order of Saint Martin (Quartermaster).
