Biography


Captain Brian Gerardi is a native of New Canaan, CT. In 2013 he graduated and commissioned through the United States Military Academy at West Point with a B.S. in Psychology. In 2021 CPT Gerardi graduated from Columbia University with a MA in Social and Organizational Psychology as a part of the 16th Cohort of the Eisenhower Leadership Development Program.

Captain Gerardi commissioned as an Aviation Officer but was medically disqualified from flight duty. He branch-transferred to the Field Artillery and was assigned to Fort Bragg, NC (known at Fort Liberty since 2023) with the 2nd Battalion, 319th Airborne Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division. There he served as a Company Fire Support Officer (D Company, 1-325 Airborne Infantry Regiment) and Battery Executive Officer (B Battery, 2-139 AFAR) from 2015-2017.

After completing the Field Artillery Captains Career Course in 2018, CPT Gerardi was assigned to Fort Jackson, SC with the 1st Battalion, 13th Infantry Regiment, 193rd Infantry Brigade. There he served as the E Company Commander until July 2019 and then the Headquarters and Headquarters Company Commander of the 120th Adjutant General Battalion (Reception) of the same Brigade until July 2020.

Captain Gerardi's military education includes the Air Assault Course, SERE-C, Field Artillery Basic Officer Leader Course, the Joint Fires Observer Course, the Basic Airborne Course, the Joint Firepower Course, the Air Movement Control Officer’s Course, and the Field Artillery Captain’s Career Course.

CPT Gerardi’s awards and decorations include one Meritorious Service Medal, one Army Commendation Medal, one Army Achievement Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terror Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Air Assault Badge, the Parachutist’s Badge, and the Expert Soldier Badge.

Captain Gerardi is married to the former Tiffany Mincey (USMA C/o 2014) of Metter, Georgia. They currently reside in Salisbury Mills, NY with their sons, Jackson (6) and James (4). CPT Gerardi is currently an instructor for MX400 Officership and the program manager for Special Leader Development Programs at the Simon Center for the Professional Military Ethic.
