Biography


SFC Adam L. Potter is a native of Mansfield, Pennsylvania and he enlisted in the Army in the DEP in March 2006. 

He attended Infantry OSUT in May-September 2006 at Fort Benning, GA. SFC Potter has served as an infantry rifleman, grenadier, unit armorer, team leader, squad leader, weapons squad leader, drill sergeant, senior drill sergeant, IBCT platoon sergeant, assault platoon sergeant, division G3 operations sergeant (Battle NCO), rear-d company 1SG, and TAC NCO at USMA. His stateside assignments include Fort Campbell, Kentucky, Fort Drum, New York, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, and West Point, NY. He has deployed a total of three times to Afghanistan and Iraq. SFC Potter’s military education include Airborne School, Air Assault School, Combat Lifesaver course, Unit Armorer course, Unit Prevention Leader course, Equal Opportunity Leader course, Warrior Leader Course, Advanced Leader course, Maneuver Senior Leader course, Basic Combatives course, Tactical Combatives course, Drill Sergeant School, Basic Instructor course, Anti-Terrorism Officer Basic course, Master Resilience Training course, and FBCB2 Leader OpNet certification. His civilian education includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Liberty University.

SFC Potter’s awards and decorations include the Bronze star, Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal (5th Award), the Army Achievement Medal (8th Award),  the Army Good Conduct Medal (5th Award), the National Defense Service Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the Iraq Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Medal, the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, the Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Medal (3rd Award), the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon, the NATO Medal (Afghanistan), Certificate of Achievement (2nd Award), the Drill Sergeant Badge, the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Parachutist Badge, the Air Assault Badge, and the Valorous Unit Award.

SFC Potter resides in West Point, New York with his wife Kirstie and his son Caedmon.
