Abhilash Mathew supervises the chemical engineering lab in the Department of Chemistry and Life Science. While pursuing his B.E in chemical engineering from Stony Brook University, his research topics included simulation of Brownian particles, diesel fuel purification using sonolysis and creating a next generation resin used in solvent dye sublimation manufacturing for a local company on Long Island.
While in industry, Mr. Mathew worked in quality analysis and control for over 50 ink products. He was deeply engaged in product manufacturing and development. He also worked on introducing 3D printing ink by doing a market analysis and working on a protype for industrial scale-up. Additionally, he worked on search engine optimization and introduction of e-commerce for the company. After his time in industry, Abhilash worked in USMA as a government contractor in the capacity of assistant program manager overseeing the contract of 14 employees stationed at West Point. In his current role at West Point, Mr. Mathew is COR certified and is the property book officer for the Department of Chemistry and Life Science, responsible for $5 million of scientific equipment. He oversees labs for all the chemical engineering firsties.
