COL Andrew Lee
Associate Professor
Operations Research Program Director
Mathematical Sciences
COL Andrew Lee received his Masters and PhD at MIT specializing in transportation, policy, probability, and optimization. His expertise encompasses a wide array of operations research and transportation models with a focus on military applications, unmanned aerial systems, and disaster relief. Serving as a military intelligence officer and operations research analyst in Iraq and Afghanistan, he contributed substantially by publishing white papers and briefings utilizing probability models, statistical inference, simulations, and optimization to inform critical decisions. At the United States Military Academy, he is the program director for the Operations Research program. He is a Co-PI for a National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant, Co-PI on a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant, department representative for INFORMS, board member of the Military and Security Society at INFORMS, an associate editor for the Mathematics and Sports Journal associated with the MAA, an associate editor for the Sports Content for Outreach, Research, and Education (SCORE) network, and an executive committee member for the International Conference on Technology in Collegiate Mathematics (ICTCM).
