COL Andrew Pfluger is an associate professor in the Department of Geography and Environmental Engineering at the United States Military Academy (USMA). Formerly the director for the environmental program in environmental engineering and environmental science, he currently serves as the director of the Center for Environmental and Geographic Sciences.
He is also associated with USMA's Office of Research and Dean's Staff. Through June 2025, COL Pfuger was also a visiting researcher at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Engineering Research and Development Center and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He holds a visiting fellowship with the Hoover Institution at Stanford University through July 2026.
COL Pfluger is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Delaware and a board-certified environmental engineer. His research interests include sustainable and resilient systems engineering, water and wastewater engineering, resource recovery and renewable energy generation.
