
CPT Collum Magee is a native of St. Louis, Missouri. He attended the United States Military Academy and graduated in May of 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Management. While a cadet, he competed on the West Point Rugby Team and was a member of the management honor society, Omicron Delta Kappa. After graduating from West Point, he commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Field Artillery.
Following graduation from the Field Artillery Basic Officer Leader Course, he was assigned to the 2nd Cavalry Regiment in Vilseck, Germany, where he served as a Troop Fire Support Officer, Fire Direction Officer, Platoon Leader, and Executive Officer. During his three-year tenure in Germany, CPT Magee supported numerous NATO operations throughout Europe to include Poland, Czech Republic, Lithuania, and Hungary.
CPT Magee graduated the Field Artillery Captains Career Course in May of 2019 (Distinguished Honor Graduate). Following graduation, he was assigned to 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, CO. He served as a Battalion Fire Support Officer and Assistant Operations Officer prior to assuming battery command. While in command, the battery deployed to Syria in support of Operation Inherent Resolve from September 2021 to May of 2022.
Following command, CPT Magee earned a Master in Business Administration (MBA) with specializations in Finance and Management from New York University Stern School of Business. He graduated in May of 2024.
CPT Mageeās awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal with C device, Army Achievement Medal (three oak leaf clusters), National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (2nd award), Inherent Resolve Campaign Medal, Global War on Terror Service Medal, Combat Action Badge and Air Assault Badge. He is also a graduate of the Joint Firepower Course and a member of the Honorable Order of St. Barbara.
CPT Magee is married to MAJ Ashley Mohr who serves as an instructor in the Department of History.
