Her most recent operational assignments include serving as a Brigade S1 (Senior Human Resources Officer) and as a G1 Plans and Operations Chief. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with a minor in Leadership Studies from Virginia Tech, master's degrees in English Literature from the University of Virginia and in Human Resource Management from Webster University, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Literature from the University of Kentucky.
